The project offered a blank canvas with its bare white-washed stone walls, black carpet and plain white furniture. The design brief sought to breathe some life into the office space and create a dynamic environment.

The introduction of timber-effect flooring and a lighter carpet tile cutting through the mass of black carpet at obscure angles helps to both soften the appearance and add interest.

Various limiting parameters, such as the server location along with structural columns and internal windows were to be retained and encompassed within the design. Sculpted acoustic screens were installed around the server and internal windows, to conceal them whilst the columns were painted black to enhance them, bringing to attention the historical character of the building.

The existing meeting pod was painted orange to introduce a level of vibrancy into the room and the rear wall was painted black to deliver a strong backdrop.
